Default Video about how to practice effectively

This is interesting, especially how practicing in your mind - away from your instrument - can improve your playing.

Great....I thought my problem was only physical

Very interesting video. I am going to experiment with this for the next couple weeks as I am learning a song I know (strumming only chords) to my interpretation of it playing finger style.

Thanks for posting.

I have had dreams that helped solve some specific issues on things I was trying to learn to play or was in the process of composing.

Had a music composition professor relate how he woke up in the middle of the night from a dream, ecstatically scribbled down some
melody, and fell asleep again. The next morning in the light of day he saw he wrote out a melody from one of Beethoven's compositions.

REally great little clip. Thanks for sharing.

I've used visualiation and simulated picking often when I'm getting ready to sleep, or maybe stuck in a line-up at the grocery store to pass some time. It has helped me.

Brainjo is also a great read on how neuroplasticity works when learning. It is about a scientist who is learning banjo but it applies to any instrument (or anything you learn really).
