Trick For Tonewood Amp & Guitars With Arched Backs
There is a "trick" I discovered that really helps with the arched back feedback problem. The transducer (round rubber thingie) needs to be as flat as possible to the back. For my guitar I simply attached a couple of homemade "feet" to raise the right side of the unit so that the transducer is as flat as it can get.
I had to make the feet about 3/4" tall but now it works much better whereas before it was just constant feedback city and I was about to give up and send it back. It also helped to turn the master gain way down and to set the notch filters as well of course. The magnets actually still hold the unit pretty securely with just 1 of the 2 suction rails uncovered. I am now in love with this thing! Especially with it running through my Loudbox Mini. Really amazing sounds that you can't quite get with other devices or amps that I know of... Hope this helps someone out. |

I've got the cross brace in two of my guitars.
On my Taylor 12 string, it's very loud and very noticeable. On my Yairi it's kind of subtle. To the point that I'm thinking about taking the brace out and putting it in my AJ60S. The third brace is going in my 110e. I figure it it's so responsive on the 150, it should be the same on the 110.
