UNBELIEVABLE AXE!!!
Mind boggling TONE FOR DAYS.
Steve said it was warm, clear , and fat from the back of a carpeted room with a bunch of recessed windows. The trebles are so fat the small string sounds like a double stop. Wow! God help me, I am already contemplating the next one!!! This was supposed to end ALL GAS... YIKES!!! Thank You John! Three more gigs today.
Played this one at three more gigs today! Sounds MIND BENDINGLY GREAT everywhere I play it.
BIG ROOM with high ceilings and bare floors (thank goodness) this morning. Acoustic (no amp)! Probably 60 folks. Spread out in different directions. All smiling and singing along once in a while! Fattest sound I have ever gotten there. (less amplification) Medium room this afternoon. ditto on the tone Small one this evening. Monster tone. More tomorrow... I am hooked. Brucebubs, Sorry I somehow overlooked your question.
I play with a thumbpick and bare fingers. I will almost flatpick with a long thumbpick. But Sometimes just flesh, sometimes nails. Down by the bridge and up over the neck extension, and all in between. This BOMB can take whatever you throw at it with ease. My buddy Rod is a wonderful flatpicker and he gave it a fine workout up and down the neck. Super balanced and sweet FAT tone all over the neck. Steve plays with bare fingers and it sounded great for him too. Great string separation and clarity. The next one is in the works... eventually I will need to sell one, but not till I have all four to compare. God willing and the crick don't rise! Cheers Paul

This axe is the best ever! What a tone!!! Really loud, and light too!!! JK has been very busy preparing for Woodstock. I have offered to send him this to show there, but he is not sure yet if he will have the room to drag it along. Let me assure you all that it is a Monster in all respects!!! I have another JK on order with all the same features!!!! Different woods tho. Can not say enough great things about this axe... or John Kinnaird! People at every gig comment on the beauty, volume and tone!!! Then I get to tell them about the guitar. And about JK! Cheers Paul

It happened again
It happened again.
Playing BROWN BOMB room to room, a former singer confined to bed told me that's a very special Guitar, isn't it. I replied yes it is, it was made by the best Luthier I have found. And it has a number of very special features. Like the 12th fret neck, which every good classical guitar has. And the elevated fretboard, and so forth blah blah blah. This lady asked me so what makes it so good. I leaned in close and stage whispered "A lot of time and a lot of money." She said, it sounds like it. It's the best Guitar I've ever heard. And then she was nice enough to say that I made beautiful music on it too! All with the Activity Director in the room! Hahaha Thought that deserved a bump for this thread! A MUSICAL YULE TO YOU Paul
