Default Superstars geeking out

My "GE Smith geeking out over his hero's guitar" didn't go over too well... I was talking about his passion. Others might have been more focused on "why's he so focused on a piece of gear?" Yeah. Gear fetishization is bad. Here...

But I'm nothing if not persistent

Jimmy Page Geeking out over Link Wray

Have any cool clips of Superstars loosing it over basic stuff that is really important to them?

I don't have a video but David Gilmour talks about when Hank Marvin was leaving to live in Australia in 1986. One of his friends asked him to stop in at a restaurant the day before he left . Hank was reluctant because he was in a rush to get ready to leave but the friend persisted. When he got to the restaurant he was met by a bunch of British guitarists, Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Steve Howe, Brian May, Mark Knopffler, George Harrison, I think Page, etc., all of whom were fans, were there to tell him of their indebtedness to him and say goodbye. They had bought him a custom Strat. He ended up cancelling his plans for the day and spending the afternoon with them.

I didn't see that first post--I assume it was the video with him and Bloomfield's guitar?

Too bad, that video was fun. I would have been that excited to hold that guitar too...and then he just BURNS on "Shake Your Moneymaker."
