FS: REDUCED $ Custom Martin D28 (Alpine/Madi)
4/19: additional views of Madagascar rosewood back added at the end of the thread
OPEN TO TRADES--especially short scales ***price drop to $3200 or best reasonable offer*** ***please notice edit below re: neck profile: it's a low profile, not PA*** For sale is my Custom Shop Martin D-28 guitar with a gorgeous Italian Alpine top and Madagascar rosewood back and sides. Look at the tight grain on the Italian Alpine spruce and the figuring on the Madagascar rosewood back and sides--this is the real stuff! It has been played for barely a couple of hours, as you can see from its pristine condition. The only mark to speak of is in the grain -- see photo with my thumb in it for relative scale. It's not a ding and you can't feel it at all--it was there when I bought it. Here are the specs: Solid Italian Alpine spruce top Solid Madagascar rosewood back and sides Herringbone trim Ivoroid binding Bone nut and saddle Mahogany neck Ebony bridge Ebony fingerboard Dovetail neck joint 1 11/16" nut width 25.5" scale ***low profile neck*** Silver vintage tuning machines Note: I upgraded the bridge pins, but I have the originals and will include both sets for you Financial circumstances are forcing me to sell, otherwise I would never consider selling this one. Priced at $3500 plus actual shipping costs of your choice; payment by cashier's check or PayPal gift please. If you prefer to use PayPal purchase, please add the 3% for fees...

I had one of these for a short time but sold it to score a Vintage Martin I couldn't pass up. It was a fabulous sounding, looking, and playing guitar with a really nice punchy midrange, crisp highs, and a nice low end that was not quite as thumpy as Vintage D-28 I have now. All and all, this is a great guitar and I think GC only made 100 of them.
Good luck No relation to the seller.
