Default Fishman VT1 ?

Anyone know anything about these?

They were so cheap I bought one. It has a flexible transducer and it looks authentic but I'm wondering if it is a counterfeit.

I can't find it on Fishman's website of manuals and user's guides

I saw that one but it doesn't quite match what I have and looks like it has the typical rigid piezo transducer while this one has a flex transducer that looks like a short length of braided shield cable

So how did it work? I have a guitar I'm thinking of converting to acoustic/electric.

It looks like a Fishman Sonicore and that is a great price if it is the real thing. A few brief checks in GC left me thinking it was a sonic step down from a Matrix or Element, maybe in the same class as the now discontinued Taylor ES-T, but I did not give it enough time to say that with confidence.

I'm not a fan of the Sonicore, but then the question always is "compared to what." It's a major step down from the Aura VT Enhance in my top Martin, and then again it dang well better be.
