first is sure 57 mic just off of neck at around 12th fret.

Second is a MXL mic about 4 feet away and I was not really facing it well.

I'm in agreement that the Graphite guitars are good, but also with the observation that they are not as pleasing to me as good wood guitars in terms of tone. Love the fact they stay in tune incredibly well.

The balance on the GX is perfect when playing seated. I haven't played a more comfortable guitar than the GX (sitting down). I favor a dred when playing standing.

Good post. I have a CA-Cargo on order, and I am anxious to try it out and give a report.

I called CA and spoke with Ellis and this guy is tops. He sent sound clips and pics of several of the new guitars. I really am digging the cargo, but there is also a new GX, now call M, with the off set hole and new bracing.

I was so impressed that he took so much time to explain all the options.

I'm sure some of you have high gloss model, do they scratch easily?

Thanks

david

I just bought a CA Legacy. It holds up to anything in that price range IMHO. Balanced and crisp sound. Beautiful. Haven't had to tune it yet..even when I drop D and capo. Very very happy. Not a flaw anywhere on the instrument.

Is the M not out yet? I looked on the website but have not heard much about it.

I'm interested in getting GX C.O.T, but i don't see any of those selling anywhere. Who should I call to get this information?

Get in touch with Ellie or Bill Warmoth at Artisan Guitars. They are one of the largest CA if not the largest dealer in the country. I have bought several guitars from them and they are great prople to deal with.

Email and contact numbers below.
