The Duncan Little 59 should go well with your bridge pickup.

Whereas a duplicate of your neck pickup would probably go well with your neck pickup.

Which combo is more important to you?
I want to keep the Neck/Bridge so if I loose the center only, no problem. I may later add a switch that can do only the center, and add all 3. It is all possible and my tech has all the wiring diagrams.

All in all I have till Feb. to research which one I add and an Oak Grigs switch for strat.

Thanks for the post!

Little 59 for tele, and the lil 59 for strat neck, which one would you go with Gypsy? I do not need a hot pickup for the middle as the 59 for strat neck is a medium output and switched right would go well with my bridge and if I add a toggle could get the neck/bridge combo that lured me to this guitar in the first place. They both sound great and am partial to the 59 neck for strat!

I've had a few set up that way - never bonded with it. I hybrid pick, and I seem to hit the poles a lot on the middle pup. I'd rather get annoyed by it on a strat knowing it's a part of the game than put it on a tele, which I know I'd be playing much more frequently.

Default Lil 59 to hot!

The Lil 59 is to hot for my Tele without changing out the volume and tone pots. My tech says it will pop and click. He says to stick with true single coil RW/RP for middle strat. I am going to take his advice and research SD's and Fenders and a few D'MZ's to boot. It seems to me that SD Antiquity Texas hot for strat and the Surf are 2 examples of RW/RP's that sound ok and will blend well with what I already have on my guitar.

Default No mod for middle pickup!

I decided to go with a 4 way switch and a Five-Two for Tele from S.D. and forgo the mod for now, I like my Tele way to much to go and bore a big hole in it and spend a boat load of cash on it. So I am going with a 4 way switch and wire it like the 4 way American Tele Reclaimed Redwood Limited.

Default Finally home (belated) !

I got my Tele back from the shop and it does sound fantastic, it's been a month and a half. I took it to GC and a salesman wanted to play it after he heard the new pickup, he was to say the least "Impressed". It will now cover all the spectrum's of music, Rock, country, pop, blues, jazz, and grunge! Now for a new practice amp, I got rid of my Blues Jr. and am looking into a low watt tube amp. And the search begins.

Hmmm. If you like it, that's what matters.

After several weeks of testing and tweaking strings, I have found that my Tele has a wonderful Tele Twang and the new neck pickup and switch produce a bright spanky twang in both the series, and parallel settings. It is an amazing sounding guitar, now for my new VOX AC4-C1 BL amp to arrive and I am home free!

Twangin and Bangin on my Tele!
