I've owned a few and the Boss ME-80 is best in my book. Better than Zoom, Line 6, and Digitech. Unless you want a deep, long reverb, the reverb on the ME-80 does very well. You can use delay a make the reverb longer and deeper, then turn on some modulation for more ambient shoegaze.

Do you need amp modeling? If no, I'd go with the Line 6 M13. If yes, check out the Line 6 POD HD500 or...if your wallet is exceptionally thick...the new Helix board.

I have both a POD HD500 and the M13. I use the HD500 with amp models if I'm playing through a house PA and I use the M13 in front of tube amps.
