For any readers who are unfamiliar with the history of the Kala U-bass, it's worth noting that it is directly descended from the Guild Ashbory bass. The story is worth delving into, as it has a long and colorful history. Largesound has by far the best website dedicated to the Ashbory and it's descendants.
