Add the second Compact to your group... one guitar and one voice through one of them and the other voices through the second one...
First off, each unit will be less taxed by fewer inputs and penetrate better with more reserve volume, should you need it. Secondly, the mix on stage and in the audience is even smoother and more balanced with two units than with the one... Thirdly, pretty easy to sell one Compact if you ever choose to upgrade or switch things up. I just played my first gig with a partner where we each had our own Bose L1 systems; mine is the L1 Model II w/ B1, and his is the L1 Soloist w/ B1. I was stunned at how much more even, balanced and smooth-sounding the pair of them were than just both of us playing through one rig. Remember, in a perfect world, EACH player/singer would have their OWN L1 unit... Check it out! You will not be disappointed... especially if you position the Compacts the way they're intended, so that they serve as your monitors as well as the main sound for the audience.
