Now make sure you’re comfortable with those extra jumbo frets. Coming from acoustic to those frets requires a completely different touch and it’s easy to sharpen notes if you press a bit too hard as you would with an acoustic.
Thanks for the information as I do adjust easy but definitely good information

[QUOTE=Paleolith54;5629273]My thought is you've already answered all the important questions. Played well, felt good, etc. I'd prefer it by a long shot over any Squier in that range, or a Mexi Strat. Adjusting to jumbo frets is a minor issue. I wouldn't worry about 24-fret guitars with humbuckers only being for Metal, either ; check this link.

Wow! That was really nice.

If the feature that really grabbed your attention was the coil-tap humbuckers, then it's worth pointing out that there are a healthy variety of guitars with that same feature. Also, most humbucker makers have 4-conductor versions that are built to be tapped. Just wire in a push-pull pot with the new pickups, easy retrofit to any guitar you like.

you haven't mentioned what kind of music you play and the amp that this will play thru.

if you have a chance, go to your big box store and play a ton of guitars thru a ton of amps(or bring your own and check it at the door). that way you can boil down the combination.

play music!

Heavy metal guitars are a blast to play and easy on the hands. See how it feels. The neck is everything. Those pickups will sound great just clean or with a bit of reverb.

I use my Jackson "metal axe" for a ton of different things. But don't be surprised if you feel an itch to try out some Steve Vai licks. ...
