CHEAP- but still bought it
back into music after 40 years heres what i dealt with, i had no tech knowledge of guitars, only hear say and brand names- so with my new 'ears' i had an Ibanez sg style with dual humbuckers ( no knowledge of the hums, only how good they were) almost 2 years i fought with this thing and couldnt get the sound i wanted from it, thinking it was my hearing implant i lived with it trying to adjust, all bottom end bassy and other things, friend of mine has a gibson les paul or something costing $$$$$, older like me trying to adjust the sound with his amp, sounded just as crappy to me, anyway i tried a squier strap type, geez, what a difference!!! i mean eveything was huge improvement, looking at used squiers, they all had issues like 'rough' fretboard, bridge seem lifted, etc- so i found CHEAP behringer s style guitar at a pawn shop, actually great condition for $15, needless to say, im satisfied and happy! in time though unless it falls apart- LOL, i may upgrade to better hardware as needed- john

Yes humbuckers do sound completely different to single coils. I quite like the warm sound of 'buckers, that said, my Ibanez only has SCs on it. Enjoy your new toy and don't toss that 'nez just yet, after playing a few different songs, you might just find a need for the sound of the 'buckers that the SC just cannot give you. Every tool has its uses. You can use a chisel as a hammer, but......
