Live you'd be hard pressed to beat the Boss RV6 - great sounding reverbs that envelop your notes like a good reverb is supposed to do and it even has a setting where you can add delay to the verb - it sounds great and it's a big bang for the buck effect pedal that is brick-house built. you can spend a lot more, but maybe only the dog-ears in the audience may ever notice.

I picked up a limited Gold version of Matthews Effects ‘Astronomer’ and have loved the sounds I get with my acoustic on it. I have one signal set to run a basic light reverb and the other signal running a heavy shimmer effect.

I demoed many reverb pedals, and found a used Polara at GC. The Plate setting is my perfect reverb, for adding space, not as an "effect". I use it for acoustic, and electric. The graphics and knobs are small, so it's best as a set and forget pedal. There are so many good ones out there, it would be hard to find a really bad reverb these days.

Y'all can laugh at me, but I recommend the Line 6 Verbzilla. Transparent enough for acoustic guitar, without being super-pricey.

L.R. Baggs has a brand new one that is supposed to be pretty good. Part of their new "Align" series.

The Wampler Faux Spring Reverb is the end all verb pedal for me. I thought my Strymon was the best I'd heard, until a friend brought over his Wampler.

+1 on the BOSS RV-6. Excellent functionality and reasonable price from a company with a great reputation.

Definitely interested, please do report back. I was also interested in their Specular Reverb and I wish there was a way to compare the two since it's the reverb portion that's my real interest, not the delay.

Will do. This is my compromise on selling my big sky and timeline, amongst other gear, to fund a new guitar. The Strymon safe great but I was using about 5 per cent of their potential when playing electric and acoustic and probably about 2 per cent now I am going all acoustic! The Specular Tempus looks like it should fit the bill.

I am also very interested in the Specular Tempus and will be ordering one soon. I will definitely be using it on my electric guitar pedalboard, but I'm liking what I hear in videos with acoustic.

Ever since I have tried to switch from a rack mounted to a floor type pedal, I've demoed a lot of them in concert situations (Strymon Big Sky, Blue Sky, HOF, Polaris). I think i have finally found what best works for me and it's the Eventide H9 Core version. Beautiful reverb plus a sweet tape delay algorithm. A bit of a learning curve but if I can figure it out, must not be too bad. I'm only using a couple of Hall reverb settings and a couple of delay settings so my needs are fairly simple. But man it's pure
