Default Traditional Fiddle Tunes For Flatpicking Guitar

Finally got enough coffee and time without kids in the house to put together a new page with all my arrangements of my favorite traditional fiddle tunes. http://ericskye.com/fiddle-tunes/ There’s almost fifty of them, a few vids, pics, and extensive performance tips if you scroll down. I hope you enjoy it, and share it with your friends. Because the world needs more people picking tunes together. e

Glad to see "Miss McLeod's Reel". A giant of a tune that is somewhat ignored these days. I'm finally getting around to learning it on mandolin, just a blast to play. May pair it up with "Waiting For The Federals" in a little medley.

Do you think these would be good songs for my kids to learn they are six and eight and reading music. They probably would not be playing anything beyond just the melodic voice single notes

Wow! This is great! You've done some work on this. I'll bookmark it, and most likely keep coming back to this.

I live in the U.K., but I've become really interested in bluegrass/flatpicking, so much so I'm aiming for a flatpicking road trip in the US. Bluegrass is new and quite frankly exciting ground.

Things like this is such an inspiration, thanks!

For sure. I played a show at a small place in Seymour, Connecticut, and then an in-store at AcousticMusic.Org exactly two years ago. Had such a great time. I'm hoping to repeat that in Spring
