Red River Valley
I became intrigued by this song after hearing the little boy sing it at the end of the movie "Wild".
However, the more I search, the more versions that I find. I understand that it is a really old song and multiple verses and chords will exist. But I can't seem to find even two versions that agree, anybody point me to a popular one, maybe the one that you use? Strum and pick, not fingerstyle. Thanks. |

Hi Riverwolf,
I've got a version in my YouTube channel, see the link in my signature. It's back from the day when I was doing a song-of-the-week challenge, so it's a little on the rough side. It has lyrics and chords. Steve

There is no guitar in the movie version?
The version in Mark Hanson's Great American Tablature book is a lot of fun. Here is a version that isn't too hard that is pretty good. http://oldwhtman.awardspace.com/tab/...r_valley-1.pdf And another, slightly more challenging: http://www.lickbyneck.com/Content/So...ins-BASIC.html http://www.lickbyneck.com/Content/So...ins-BASIC.html http://www.lickbyneck.com/Content/So...bins-BASIC.zip |

No. A little boy singing out on the Pacific Crest Trail.
A touching scene. |
