This is a stellar instrument all for a mere $1700.00. If anyone is interested in a custom build, I cannot recommend this guy enough. http://www.postguitars.com/
On-board FX loop? wow that's very interesting.

I recently bought a G&L Korina ASAT Jr. II and am impressed with it so far. Before deciding on it I was also considering a Heritage 150 or PRS Mira.

Default Next electric

Actually will be my second electric, I had an SG Junior several decades ago but sold it. This time it's either a Reverend bolt-on-neck like a Flatroc solid body, or Epiphone ES-339 hollow body. Hard to beat for the price. Either way, I'll drop in a couple of TV Jones HT pups.

It's kinda weird quoting myself, but I lied...
my "next" guitar wound up being a Godin 5th Ave Kingpin hollowbody. At least I stayed true to the hollowbody part
It's really cool...

How do you like it so far? I'm thinking about getting one also.

Probably the Fender Select Telecaster HH, although if, in my travels, I come across a hollowbody or semi-hollow that really speaks to me, that might supersede the Tele.

I did a gig with it last night. Solo singer-songwriter and classic rock stuff.
It plays fantastic, short scale feels great. To me, plugged in, the sound is right between an acoustic and electric.
It doesn't have a lot of sustain like an acoustic, but the p90 pickup is full and warm. I have 11-52 nickel strings on it.

I have a Kingpin as well, it's a backup to my Heritage, but a very enjoyable guitar in it's own right.

If I ever need another electric I'd go one level up to their "Composer" model as I like the single pickup cutaway idea...but I'd replace the stock pickup with a humbucker sized P90...that P90 archtop sound us just classic. Everytime I plug in that Kingpin everything that comes out in my playing sounds soooo 1957...and I mean that as a good thing.

It is an enjoyable guitar and so different for me, it has a "dry" sound that none of my other guitars have.
Jeff, I have heard your playing and seen some of your videos, I'm sure you can make that Kingpin sound great!

My next electric will more likely be a modification to one I already have.

I bought a cheap 335 style electric from Rondo Music and stuck some GFS Dream 180 pickups in it. I really like the way things turned out, but I also like single coils with a little more guts than a Strat, but not quite as hot as a P90.

I'm thinking that replacing all the electronics with American made stuff and putting in push/pull volume pots might make it pretty close to the perfect guitar.

In the meantime, I still have 3 Strats, a couple Teles, an Epi Dot, an Epi Wildkat, an Epi Les Paul Traditional Pro, (another great guitar), not to mention an Ibanez S470, a Gibson SG faded and an Epi 339 Pro. If things work out how I hope they will, almost all of that will be for sale.

You know, I have 3 wonderful electric guitars... and not a one of them gets anywhere near the amount of playtime it deserves... so I won't be buying another electric in the foreseeable future...

If I found buyers for all three of my electrics, I would more than likely replace them all with a Taylor T-3 B... I find the Taylor electric guitars to be stellar instruments that far eclipse anything that Gibson or Fender is making these days... and I have been a Gibson guy for a LONG time now, so that's a huge statement for me to make!

Reverend, probably a Tricky Gomez...I already own 4 and keep trying to buy a Gibby/Fender/Guild/Gretsch, but you have to spend a lot more to get a guitar that plays, sounds, feels and looks as good as a Rev! Plus their customer service is top notch! Give em a try Maury, I think you'll be pleased...

Default What will be your next electric guitar purchase?

PRS Hollowbody II. I really want one. I am waiting on the re-delivery of my custom Brian Moore, though, so when that comes in may not want another.
