Yes, definite recommendation.

You need to find a maestro. Find someone who is strict about technique and exercises. You will learn much faster, and you will be a better player, if you start with strong fundamentals. You will play songs as well, just not as quickly as you may like. Flamenco is tough, escpecially "compas". Good luck!
