Default TC Electronics BodyRez with LR Baggs I-Beam?

I know the I-Beam isn't the most loved pickup on this board, but I have really enjoyed it (especially with the revised installation recommendation to put it more on the treble than bass end).

Has anyone tried the BodyRez with it? I know the BodyRez is meant for under saddle piezos, but I'm just curious and can't find a review anywhere with such a pickup.

Thanks!

Hi Otis,
I use a K & K mini with the Play Acoustic, which has BodyRez. I assume the I-beam is also a soundboard transducer.

I had some challenges with the Bodyrez. Everything seemed to bass and mid heavy. I finally purchased an eq pedal to tame this and am now very happy with the sound.

I do however have to be careful with my picking hand noise. If I strike the guitar face with my little finger when I strum, it pickes up this thump very loudly. I don't get this going direct into my amp.

Overall happy with the sound more with it than without it.

Never heard of the BodyRez. The review I watched was done using a Taylor guitar which, from my understand, either has the ES or ES2 which both uses soundboard transducers.

However, I'm having a hard time seeing what this pedal does that you can't do with decent EQ on your preamp, EQ unit or mixer? :P
