Fazool,

That is some great work. Once it is all said and done that guitar will be yours, at least it will feel different vs buying one off of the wall.
Keep the good info coming.

Absolutely fantastic job. I get an emotional attachment to restorations and often find it very difficult to sell. If you truly believe that instruments bring happiness to people, then you have to believe that you brought this one back from death. And, because of your work specifically, you will create smiles that would have never been possible - even if that smile is your own.

Personally, I can stand the look of filling the holes. I still think you should cut an artistic soundport - something meaningful to you. I've seen many of your threads and, having done a few myself, I know you're more than capable of making it spectacular. Use the golden ratio for sizing and let's see it!

Great thread, thanks for taking the time to post it. I enjoyed every picture and word.

I forgot to mention: I wish I would've seen this thread sooner. If I had the neck off that guitar, I would've added some tortoise bindings to match the pickguard!

Nice work. Just a word of caution if you are planning to put in an inlaid rosette to replace the decal, you'll be working on a final thicknessed top so take that into consideration when routing it in.
