Default NGD: Almost...

After toiling over whether to go with Sunburst or Amberburst...or, no burst at all...my 2018 Martin OM-21 came to my local shop 2-months quicker than expected from Nazareth. I think it turned out very nice & classy...and I'm glad i picked the Amberburst at the very last second. It plays as nice as it looks...and has more of the Martin growl and volume that I was missing with the 000-18 I had previously.

Now...to pay if off, so I can take it home. Anybody need a new or used car, and is in Missouri? It'll be for a great cause!

And...yes, I know I suck at photography.

Yeah - fairly rare in a Martin. Turned out good!

I'm not sure if gofundme would work well in this situation....

Haha! I promise that I would take & greatly appreciate all the contributions that
would be made in this situation.

I figured I was 2-months out like the salesperson said...I didn't plan on 1-week out, and it pains me to know it's there all alone in it's case, and I can't take it home!

I came really close to doing a "plain" sunburst, but decided it looked much better on Dreadnoughts than OM-size tops...in my opinion. The only negative is that IF the top ever develops a crack behind the bridge, the crack shows up clearly no matter how well it's repaired. I've seen two Ambertone Martins on Reverb with cracked tops, and it shows up like a sore thumb.

At least with a natural top, a good fix sometimes can be "hidden" so a crack doesn't look so bad.

I love shaded tops on small bodies. As for worrying about cracks -- yikes! I should hope not. Lifetime warranty, correct? Enjoy it -- once you get it!

Well...I just got her paid off yesterday, and spent time playing her well into the night. From the wonderful smell of the wood when I opened the case, to the way each note rang out and sustained beautifully...I'm so happy I chose the OM-21 over anything else. Just a wonderful instrument, and the Ambertone is gorgeous & very classy IMO as well. Very impressive in it's utter simplicity.

Now...to practice more and bring my skill level up to the potential of the guitar!

Congratulations on the new purchase and the significantly less wait time.
