Default Emerald Discounts?

Since Emerald only sells direct, do they ever run discounts? Or is it a "the price is the price" thing?

You might get lucky round about St. Patrick’s day, they had a special offer one time IIRC , but don’t hold your breath.

I’m pretty sure the prices are firm and non negotiable as published, unlike the crazy prices that nobody actually pays on eg Martin’s site.

Get your order in now before next inevitable price increase would be your best bet IMO.

They are beautiful guitars and worth every penny, if that’s any help ...

My guess is that they are scrambling to keep up with exploding demand, so not very inclined to discount. For example, the monthly special editions usually sell out within a couple of days, sometimes hours.

But you can always ask.....

It used to be that Emerald would occasionally offer B guitars that had some minor blemish. Haven't see one for a quite a while. But you might enquire.

Ask! The answer is no otherwise. The driving factors are fast, cheap and perfect. The only problem is usually you can only choose two.

If you can compromise on fast and/or perfect by waiting on the next B guitar that comes along, then you might be able to work a deal. Again, you have to have the conversation.

Of course, you can ask...never hurts. You may have to accept a B if they have one. Other than that, watch the AGF classifieds for a used model. They don’t come up often, but they do from time-to-time.

Back when I ordered my X20, I was having a hard time choosing between their standard Bubinga and a custom veneer. My girlfriend told me to just get whichever one is cheaper, which was the Bubinga by about $90. When I told Sean what she said, he told me they'd do a custom veneer for the same price as Bubinga. I didn't even have to ask! It should be shipping tomorrow, if it's still on schedule.

Emerald seems to have gotten a lot busier since I ordered mine so they probably aren't as included to make a deal, but still it never hurts to ask.

Or you can wait until one shows up in classifieds here. Unfortunately, that is not too often, and they go quickly.

Expecting my Artisan X20-12 Woody to arrive in the next couple of days
