I'm sure a lot of builders can relate to this. I've been thinking about making a jig for cutting sound ports for years, today I finally took the time to do it. It's more accurate and saves me about an hour per guitar!

It's been so cold and dry here I just couldn't keep the humidity where I needed it for bracing. The weather has finally broken, humidity has been back up for a few days. I'm happy to be back on the bracing!

Looks beautiful, Dion... Is that a cross grain lamination on the upper bout area of the top?

Thanks! Yeah, I've started using a cross grain lamination that I fit into the rim and over the foot of the heel block. Coupled with the structured sides, the neck block area becomes very stable! I got this idea from my good friend and great builder Jeremy Clark.
