Default Pickup for Parlour Guitar

Hey Folks,

Had to sell my guitar a few months ago and came on here for advice on a new one. A lot of folks recommended those little vintage-style Recording Kings, which my local shops unfortunately didn't stock, but I found a lovely little parlour made by Tanglewood (TW40 PAN) instead:

It didn't come with built-in electronics, so I want to get it set up for busking and gigging as soon as possible. Can anyone suggest pickups, etc?

I used to go out busking often and my old guitar had a B-Band A1.2 system which I plugged into my Roland Mobile Cube. Worked great for busking and small folky gigs, which is what I do most of the time. I wonder if the B-Band would fit in this little fella though. Somebody recommended the K&K Pure Mini, but I don't know if a passive pickup would give me enough volume (B-Band runs off a 9V battery)..

The K&K has a rather hot output, I don't think that would be a problem. I don't suspect a problem with the B-Band fitting as the bridge saddle is probably not dramatically different than most.

Thanks akafloyd! Boy if I can get the B-Band in there I'm a happy bunny. Does anyone have suggestions on a case/gig bag as well perchance? Hard to find options - I can only find a couple cases that are especially made for parlours and they're pretty pricey. Wondering if a classical or even a resonator case would work...

Dimensions are:

• Body Length: 495 mm / 19.5 inch
• Body Height: 95 mm / 3.74 inch
• Lower Bout Width: 355 mm / 13.98 inch
• Middle Bout Width: 210 mm / 8.27 inch
• Upper Bout Width: 245 mm / 9.65 inch
• Overall Length: 970 mm / 38.2 inch

Have a look at the MBT Polyfoam cases, the classical should fit that size guitar. I have the dread size for my Tak and love it for local running around including busking. Also have one for my Tele.

I have a JJB Prestige 330 in my parlor. A&L AMI. Works wonderfully for $49.
