Default which mics to buy...for acoustic/vocals, tc duplicator, & zoom h4n pro

Trying to restore some equipment for my buddy who lost all his music stuff.

bought him a zoom h4n pro & TC duplicator so looking to see what you recommend from a mic'ing standpoint thru the tc helicon duplicator for vocals and straight mic in from guitar.

options (can buy 2 separate or 2 of the same)
Blue Encore 200
Blue Encore 100i
Blue Encore 100

Should i get him the encore 200 for vocals?

then should he just use the condenser mics from the zoom h4n pro for guitar or should i buy him another encore 200 or 100i, etc.?

if there is a cheaper mic i'm all ears but can get encore 200 for $70 and 100i for $35.

The 200 is a terrific vocal mic. Just keep in mind it needs phantom power. From my experience, the 200 is a bit more susceptible to feedback issues than the 100 in live band settings. For a solo or duo, it should be fine, but with a couple guitars, drums, and bass I'd go with the 100. I've used a 200 for 4 years and love the clarity and upper mid boost. It records well too.

At those prices I'd buy as many as I could get

"Nuff said?

I agree with the statement about the 200 being more prone to feedback. I was trying to use one with a condenser on the guitar as well and it was causing trouble. When I went to the 100 the issues went away. The 100 isn't that much of a "loss" in comparison - still a great vocal mic.
