Default Bass amp speaker

ok,i think i decided what to do, i bought peavey TKO 80 (12" speaker) and almost a freebie TNT100 (15" speaker) while both amps work ok and seem to have enough power, im selling the TNT100 and keep the TKO, i like the smaller size, but with either amp, ANY increase in volume the speaker sounds like crap on the low E string, in your opinion, do you think taking out the stock speaker and replace with a celestion pulse is a good move? its rated at 200 watts and good reviews, i really dont know what to do- john

i don't know those amps but peavey usually has pretty good speakers in them.

their black widow speaker is considered very highly.

do you know what wattage the speakers are? a 200 watt speaker with an 80 or 100 watt amp(if that is what the numbers indicate), will be very loud! tweak the knobs to see if that helps, if not, perhaps it is the guitar.

play music!
