Congrats, Roger! I think the harp guitar will be a good fit with your style of playing/composing. Looking forward to hearing what you come up with.

Likewise. That's one of the first things I noticed! I've been a big fan since the Flex-Able days.

I guess you guys had to do a custom case? What company? I'm on Kathy's waiting list right now.

Hey Rog, just finished that problem with my Noble. I bought the 76 key deep gator and it was swimming for me. Luckily the 61was a great fit. A bit of working around the pads and I really couldn't ask for it to be more snug. That was a $269 solution at Guitar Center. (Man that hurt to go there but they were really nice.) Any body want a 76 key deep case? lol. The other option that I chose not to go was Cedar Creek(?) for a custom case. They supposedly were about $700 ish.

FWIW, The karol harp guitar came with an Ameritage case. I'm sure the foam is custom dimensions, but they are at least familiar with harp guitars. The case is very heavy. I have a harp guitar gig bag from Colorado case company (like the ones Gregg sells) they are convenient but offer very little protection to the instrument.

Hey Rog, 43" tall, or long from the tip of the harp top to the plug at the center bottom. Its kind of weird because it feels lighter and smaller than my Lowden even though size wise its longer. Maybe its just the depth being less and having the bevel which makes it really comfortable.

That's really good to know, thanks.

I'm considering building the case myself.

What tunes are you playing on your Noble HG?
Wow, that is long! Interesting because I thought Kathy's HG's were a bit on the short side from looking at the Sycamore(?) backed one that Stephen Bennett bought from her.

Tunes on my Noble, lol, when I have time. Right now with the holiday its mostly stuff for worship band. I also own a large and small animal feed store outside of Loveland in the foothills. Usually I've taken my Lowden to work and gotten a lot of practice time in between customers and the usual running the store type stuff. As for the Noble, I've been afraid to take it there so half of my 15-20 hours a week of practice time are still on the Lowden which is about to get a major overhaul. After this week I'm going back over the twenty or so songs I've written, (modern acoustic style), and working on all the arrangements. I've had this guitar in the back of my mind for three years so I'm sure there's many changes to be made. I'm a little down on my sense of melody so I'm hoping the the Noble, (aka Gloria?), can help me see things a bit differently. I'm also wrestling with my approach. Even with the acrylics, I'm much more comfortable visualizing as a flat picker although my style is more like a fingerstyle version of that. Yeah, I'm one confused guitar player! ;-)

Nope, I'm going for a fanfret E or F. It's on indefinite hold right now due to funds.

I did build a case for my Dyer. I ordered a keyboard case from these folks, and simply asked that the foam innards not be sculpted, but be left "filled to the top." That actually reduced the price. Then I traced around my harp guitar and cut out the foam (I recommend a serrated bread knife!), bought fabric from a local shop, and glued the fabric with a hot glue gun. I even installed a humidifier.

It is heavy, but has wheels and has served me well when traveling to Harp Guitar Gatherings.
