Hi Ted,

Is this simply a satin (but smooth) finish or is it textured?

Ted,

Any photos of the "aged" D-28A 1937? I've seen some (not very good ones) on instagram, so I know it was there.

Available in either full gloss, or a smooth satin finish.

Hmm, I thought I uploaded a few shots to our Facebook page, but now I don't see them. So sorry. We do have one on order though.

Ted, you may want to investigate this guitar a little further. Gibson originally was all in on supporting John Arnold's book "Kalamazoo Girls", the true story of Gibson's WW II guitar production. They were going to release a series of Banner's based on actual wartime guitars kind of like Martin Authentic s. Then for reasons still inexplicable they did a 180 on John and support for the book. They later claimed that they did a modest run of those wartime banners not involving John in the promotion of those guitars. I think this would have been about 2013 or 2014. This might be one of those re-issues. Does it have a baseball bat sized neck?

As the owner of a Stehr Carpathian/Oregon Myrtle Auditorium from 2013 Healdsburg I can safely say that anyone that purchases this guitar will not be disappointed!

Killer guitar and wood combination for sure...

Home run for it's intended purpose, and more, IMO. Outstanding feel and playability, coupled with great tone plugged in, and unplugged. And the armrest is a huge bonus. When I first tried the GC version last year, I actually thought I was handed a new GS Mini. The armrest really makes these guitars feel that much smaller.
