Default New Banjo Player Sound Clips - Feedback Requested

Hi there.

I purchased a banjo a couple of weeks ago and have really been enthused about learning to play it. Here are a couple of short sound clips of very simplified versions of Worried Man Blues and 8 Miles to Louisville.
I am playing a Deering Goodtime 2 banjo and recording using a Zoom H4n.
I would really like to hear feedback good and bad from seasoned veterans on this humbling instrument!

Thanks!

And here is 8 Miles to Louisville.
I don't know why it didn't go thru the first time.

2 weeks in ? I'd say you're well on your way.
Stay the course and learn to play by tabs and notes. It's tedious and at times frustrating, but 5 years from now you will be glad you did.
Also don't let quick progress in playing make you neglect the steps in learning. Stay the course. Steps are important.

Thanks Finger Stylish for your feedback and advice!
Yes, I have been working on various rolls, various songs using tab, various chords and backup rhythm, hand position and technique. Plan to stay the course.
I do understand the importance of a step by step approach. Thanks!
