Default Preamp combo question

Hi guys, first post here from a lurker.

Have an ibeam in my SCGC Tony Rice, which sounds great, but I have feedback issues at high volumes. No surprise there. I'll see if a soundhole plug helps at all, but I know (1) it may not, and (2) it may dampen the tone, but I understand that's kind of what is needed to reduce the feedback.

My new 2nd guitar (as of this week!) is an Eastman e10om (adi/mahog, supposedly, although the grain of the adi is awfully tight....either it's a REALLY nice piece of adi or substituted sitka, according to the luther/repair guy I showed it to). Just ordered a JJB-330 pickup (hard to beat the price for a nice backup/change of pace guitar that will fit more nicely into a full band mix).

Has anyone used the JJB-330 with a Yamaha AG Stomp? I've already checked the impedance of the two, and Jessie says it should work. I know there are better preamps out there, but I already have the AG Stomp, and I am interested in anyone's experience trying them together.

Thanks for any input!
