But I don't think the thrill of ordering and then opening a new Hardware box is old fashioned, however paying for new hardware is not so thrilling these days

Ya who knew ? back in 1959 when a U47 Standard cost $335

Which in todays dollars is $3440 and I suppose not too far off from a reasonably good clone price today
