Doh! I've never before posted in threads like this thinking they're just a cheap way to easily increase one's post count. I was right. Bye!

Ever notice that when we post here, our post count goes up by one? For me, I've never looked at the count as I am just enjoying time here with fellow guitar enthusiasts.

I've been outside working by tearing another deck down. After that, some landscaping. When one gets a few years on them, they seem to slow down a bit. Well, at least I do. I had a nice break though as an old gospel band mate came by for a visit. It was a good time.

Great to hear that nothing bad happened at today's Boston Marathon.

Congrats to the winners, and to all those that participated.

Have to say that I would love to run a marathon, if only younger. I admire the discipline people have to do such a thing. I use to run some and lift weights years ago. I most likely could use a little cardio workout to improve health.

In just a few hours, I'm going to go forth on my road trip to Merlefest! Yippee!

Just want to shout out that my wife got a very good progress report after having brain aneurysm surgery last month. Things are going very well, but there are a few things to monitor and watch in the future. Our prayers have been answered.

However, on the way back from our appointment with her surgeon, we got a call from my oldest daughter that she was in the ER awaiting a room in ICU due to a blood clot. After visiting with her tonight, it looks like there is a possibility of a surgical procedure being done with her. We will know more tomorrow after some additional testing. For those who will, please say a prayer for her and her immediate family (and of course us). Thanks so much.

Kind hearted people can put so many smiles on another's face. How is everyone doing today?

Loving the warm sunny day we are having! Planted some daffodils passed on from a friend's overgrown garden, and think it's time to play some guitar, dagnabit!

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.

classic Irish blessing
sadly, I had to cut the last part out,
due to rules against religion

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country. For those of you who had typing in school, how many remember typing this in their typing class.

Out on an unofficial, but official date last night with my wife. We went to listen to an "Oldie's" band last night. This might not seem like much to many, but this is the first time we've been able to get out since her surgery for a brain aneurysm. We were not able to stay the whole time for the event, but it is a major step in her recovery and healing.

Prayers work! I am so happy for you both. This is truly a milestone event in her recovery process for sure.

Quite blessed she is (we are too) that she is now able to do things that she was not able to the past year.

We are looking forward to doing many more things in the future, but in a methodical way according to what she can handle. Fatigue sets in quicker than before, but her strength is returning.

Riding the mower today was something I chose not to do. I used the push mower and walked 3.8 miles with it while cutting the grass. Tired I might be, but I feel fairly good after a nice workout with the push mower.
