Hi David E,

I would say if you can only make it to one Saturday would be the day to come. Friday is usually the slower day.

PM me if you want to sign up. You can PM Eire and Neil or any of the guys to learn about the McJams.

As always I ask what size t-shirt you wear so I can get a "Saturday black shirt" tagged with your name.

Last minute changes were made due to real life situations.

We have a few openings again. If anyone else is interested please contact me. Let's add a few new names.

Regular McJammers: Let me know if you have someone else on your list you choose to bring.

Also, Bruce Freimark will be able to give us more details at the McJam if you are interested in attending a song service at a local church.

Just a shout out to Tim, Mary and Adrianne for hosting yet another wonderful McJam this past weekend! So good to see so many old friends and acquaintances and to meet newbies in Greater Metropolitan Morral, Ohio. Grateful to be a part of this family!

We had a great time!

Thanks, Kurt and you are most certainly welcome. It was wonderful to see you and Julie again, too.

As always, it was awesome to get a call from AGF's Coldshot. Rodger said he will set us a SKYPE conference for us so Craig (Coldshot) can play for us at the McJam next year. So many hours difference, but that would be fun for us.

Please send all pictures to my personal (not business) e-mail so I can get a book together!

Not to sound too sappy, but I was kind of sad that I couldn't spend the whole weekend there. The Memphis show occupying the same week the McJam and then this past weekend being both my anniversary AND Father's Day weekend kind of put a wrench in the works for me.

The weather almost ruined it for me as well. Driving west from Pennsylvania it pretty much rained the whole way - and in placed it rained like cats and dogs with visibility down to a scant 100 feet in places. Hydroplaning was a real concern. If I had run into that weather in SW PA or the WV panhandle with the hills and windy roads I might've wrecked but thankfully the terrain in Ohio is flat and the roads straight and true. Luckily once I started heading north of Columbus the skies lightened and once Marion rolled into view I saw some breaks in the clouds. After that, not much rain - if any, fell and by Sunday the skies were blue and sunny.

A few of the regulars were not there and they were missed. I hope them next year and hope that everything is fine with them at that time. I did get a chance to meet a couple new faces and I hope to see them return in coming years. I just hope I didn't assault their ears too badly during the open mic. It was also good to see Mary's mom and new granddaughter, though understandably none stayed that long.

As for what went on, because of cancellations the schedule was off on Saturday. Since I wasn't there on Friday I missed Tim's tour of the shop and the chance to see his practiced hand in action. THat's OK though, I figure I really put him to work last year!

All in all it was a real good time. I always enjoy not only the event but the trip there and back again as well. To me, Morral is a little slice of heaven set in some wonderful Midwestern farmland where I can put my cares and troubles aside for a time and get to be who I feel I really am - even if I still tend to be somewhat distracted.

Again, thanks for having this event Tim and Mary and for letting me abide for a night in the loft. I hope we get to make the trek back for many years to come.

Another terrific McJam... Number 8 for me. Thanks as always to the best hosts in the world - Tim, Mary and Adrianne. Now for a few photos from McJam VIII....

Tim, Adrianne and "Blue" enjoying Open Mic.

The "McJam Band" closing the festivities with the McJam traditional song, "Going to the McJam" written by Steve Wamsley. Steve on Uke, Bruce Friemark on guitar and yours truly on bass.

Vern and Jane (the McJam's first international McJammers) came from Ontario, Canada! Here they are individually and as a duo performing at one of the Open Mics.

Already looking forward to next year's McJam!!!! I'm hoping we can Skype Craig (Coldshot) in from the other side of the world next year. Craig - there's a two song limit. You have a year to prepare!
