Anybody know where I can get a flat (un radiused) slotted 25.4 scale fingerboard ?

I'm sure Andy over at Birkonium would make one for you.

https://birkonium.com/product-catego...ts/fretboards/

Their normal offering is radiused, but they do specials.

Might not be cheap, considering it's a one off.

The other way is to make friends with a luthier who can slot you a flat piece of wood.

One off? Classical guitars, Mandolins l, Ukes, Banjos and Dobros commonly have flat fretboards.

Should be cheaper as the radiusing step is saved.

I ordered some flat, slotted fretboards from LMI to use as slotting templates and only paid for the wood and slotting. Sadly, they are no more.

Can't figure out how to delete as I see this source has already been suggested.

These were my thoughts! I’d think they’d be easy to get, but I can’t find one.

It looks like Birkonium can do it, but I had to fill out a custom build form. We’ll see, but usually cu$tom means extra.

Did you tryAllied Lutherie? https://alliedlutherie.com/collections/fingerboards

Really, your best bet is to try to find a local builder. I'd do it for you but I'm in Canada. Or message me if you get stuck.

I think these were standard on old Martin nylons like 00-18C, 00-28C, 00-18G, 00-28G, 000-28C, 000-28G, so you should be able to find one around from a conversion. I took one from a C or G and put it on my Reso

Depends on the size of the operation.

You'd think that it would be cheaper, as it would save the radiusing step, but it's more about extra handling / hassle the one odd/different job would require in a production environment.

In a small enough shop where every job is a one-off, sure. In a larger shop where radiusing the blanks is the first thing that happens, not so much.

I'm not sure where birkonium falls on that spectrum.

Stewmac might still have a 10% off fretboard deal going on, just bought the exact same thing you are looking for from them yesterday.

Oh! Silly me. When I bought the FB's I simply read the title, that they are slotted Fretboards, now that I actually read it I see that have a 16in radius too. Sorry about that. Still works for me since that is what I am going to radius to anyway.
