Default Getting more page onto large resolution monitors

It seems there is a lot of wasted space when I view sheet music on my computer monitor. Particularly in the PDF and GPX format. It seems that it would easily handle showing 2 pages side by side, but I am not sure how to make this work. Does anyone out there get 2 full pages to display side by side on a single monitor?

EDIT* Ok I see pdf has side by side view now, must be something new...

Also what about a foot pedal for computers that can be programmed to flip pages?
