Thanks!

Excuse my ignorance (I'm still a beginner), but what does "toggle" mean in this context?

Thanks,

Rc

Ha! Don't feel bad, I've been playing for over 20 years and that's the first time I've heard the "toggle" expression myself!

....I knew I should have signed up for those lessons...

There are 3 D chord shapes that the guitar is using in the intro as well as throughout the song beginning on the push of the 4 'and', or just before the upbeat between beats 4 & 1: D, Dsus4, D5. If you listen closely to the track you can hear him moving between these 3 chords beginning on the D. The movement has different variations, and is a bit dense to include in the chart. If you finger the D chord by barring across the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st strings at the 2nd fret with your 1st finger, and place your 2nd finger on the 2nd string 3rd fret, then you can move between the 3 chords effortlessly using your 3rd finger and pinky on the 1st string: D Dsus4 D Dsus4 D5 Dsus4 D Dsus4 D D. Sometimes he reverses the ending of the phrase. To simplify I indicate 'toggle'.
