Don't you know I am an optimist? My Mom will be 90 in October and I told her I will just buy her more Splenda when she runs out!

Exciement fills the air as we approach the milestone of 90 years of life. Here is an early "Happy Birthday" wish.

That is a lot of Splenda.

For sure I will tell my Mom! She drinks water and lemon with a packet of Splenda.....the fountain of youth I'm sure.

Got to get me some of that youthful drink I prepared some green tea with a spoon of honey two nights ago. This was the first in several months.

Had a great hike up a bluff (small mountain) yesterday with my best friend from College. What a beautiful view of the valley and super windy.

Invigorating it sounds your hike was. Being able to take in the beauty of the valley and to breath in fresh mountain air is nice, but to share it with a good friend is even that much more pleasing.

Just 2 years ago my wife and I hiked to the top of Camelback Mountain in Arizona. We also hiked all over Sedona. Unbelievable views. Glad you had a nice time.

Land around here is all flat, no bluffs, no mountains and even things we call hills might be put in the flat category by others.

Now at this time of the year, things can change rather quickly. However, it's still predominately green here in the 'burg. Erie will probably have snow tonight! It is another world up there!!

Quietly the leaves on trees around our place have started falling from the trees. We covered our swimming pool on the 13th and the next morning we had a few leaves on top of the pool cover. As I cut the grass Saturday, I cut up several on the ground. Our trees are still pretty full and green, but it is just around the corner that we will see a big change. Our elevation is a bit over 3,000 feet.
