Looking for hand specialist doc
Does anyone know a hand specialist doctor in the SF Bay Area that could look at a guitar finger? Thanks.

Not a direct answer to your question, but I utilized the (virtual) services of a hand-specialist-for-musicians occupational therapist in NYC (I am on west coast) who helped me a lot. In my experience suggestions from Drs went right to surgery when that was not necessarily the best or only option. YMMV. You can PM me if you are interested in additional info.

I would look for a Chiro that specializes in needleless acupuncture.

"Guitar Finger" possibly a malady directly caused from playing the Neil Young guitar solo on "Powderfinger"?

Well that was odd...half my post disappeared.
To the OP...get youself to a Dr. Not an accupuncturist or chiropractor. Of course YMMV, but I have had 3 fretting hand surgeries plus all the follow up that goes with that and of course in all 3 cases tried to avoid that. No chiropractors but PT, accupuncture, even saw a nutritionist. |

Do you have a primary care physician? If so, maybe talk to him/her first.
Also, consider an OT (occupational therapist) specializing in hand. If interested in such OT, I know someone who's very good in San Jose. |
