Default SOLD! MARTIN CS-00041-15 Adi/Coco Masterpiece! Only 75 made. Elegant and stunning!!!

SOLD!

For sale only is a nearly mint Martin Custom Shop CS-00041-15 guitar and case. Only 75 total made in 2015. Just stunning.

All original with no modifications or issues of any kind. Gorgeous quartered Cocobolo back and sides and VTS Adirondack top with amazing medullary rays.
As fine an example as can be found.

Sounds and plays as good as it gets.

I'll let Spoon Phillips and Matt from Eddies do all the spec and info details on this amazing guitar.

Wow John, you are full of cool guitars! I played one of these some time ago at the NYC 14th St Guitar Center and it was awesome. Totally destroyed the OM-28 Authentic they had in stock at the time. Short scale, super responsive, and very beautiful in person.

Thanks to all for the nice words.

Brendan-I've gone from standard OM-42's and 000-42's, to 000-42 Marquis', to OM-41 Specials, to Custom Martin 000-42's, to this CS-00041-15 and it beats them all for tone and playability. It's the closest thing I've gotten to Brazilian for that clear, glassy sound. Highest quality Martin I've ever found.

It's not just you. There isn't a place I've taken this guitar where eyes haven't popped. And that includes folks who don't even play guitar. It is easily the most finely detailed Martin I have ever encountered. In short, a collectable and playable work of art. It's plainly obvious that the Martin Custom Shop was trying to send a message to high end, boutique builders with this model.

To those who have asked and commented about the Cocobolo back and sides-

Yes, there is a great variation in Cocobolo generally. Some sets, like on this guitar, look closer to Brazilian. Some are darker and less red or orange.
Many sets are not cut on the quarter like this set. They are slab cut, and while still extremely beautiful to look at, are not my choice for a guitar of this level.
Martin can be all over the board with their rosewoods and cuts. Look at their other guitars made from Madagascar RW for instance. Some are nicely quartered, others are slab cuts. Different strokes. . . .

The tone of the Cocobolo is bright and punchy with a full bass. It is not anything like EIRW in tone. No mud here and fewer overtones. Very clear and articulate notes. Much closer to Brazilian in sound. So, if you really love the EIRW tone or don't like the Brazilian sound, this is probably not the guitar for you, looks or no looks. The video posted with Matt from Eddie's playing is really quite accurate in demonstrating the sound of this model. Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71pyPD9W3W0

Just wondering: does it have a paper label? The specs say these guitars do, but I've never seen one that does.

No paper label ever and I've never seen one with one either. I feel cheated. . . .

One very close offer, but still available.

It's priced more than right for the quality and tone.

Hit me with your best shot!
