Just an observation about this thread.

To any of you who have the skills to do this "finish blending work" . For more years than I care to know I was involved in the high end custom home market.This "skill" is in HIGH DEMAND in the world of buildings and homes. From scratches in wood floors, dings in cabinets, damaged moldings and casings, furniture etc.

So, for anyone who has these skills, if for some reason you find yourself with not enough work in the field of luthier this skill is in high demand in the world of custom homes.

When my floor company was in full swing I would spend the morning setting up crews on jobs, the rest of the day I was making very good money doing 1 to 3 of these types of repairs on a variety of wooden objects virtually everyday.
