Introduction - Z2221344
A quick post to introduce myself. Just joined this forum, and already love it. I've been playing music for about... geez...30 years now. First piano (mostly classical) and then guitar.
Style wise I'm all over the map - from folk to blues to (on the electric) surf. Right now I'm pretty basic on the equipment side of things. Two electric guitars - a Fender Strat and a Fender Jazzmaster, running through a Blues Pro Junior. And (more importantly for this forum) - a Martin D16 GT. With a Fender Montecito Uke. I mostly play on my own, but my buddy and I have started jamming, and, who knows, with a few other people might even start a formative band. Anyway - great to be a new member - looking forward to learning a ton, and, of course, discovering a bunch of new guitars I need to buy. |

Hi Z2221344 ! Welcome to the board.
Wow ! Small world, I think maybe we could be related. Coincidentally Z2221344 was also my maternal grandfather’s name (although most people just called him Z222134 for short). |

Hi and welcome to our little corner of cyberspace! I couldn't resist, I had to google the number 2221344. I found these two links:
https://numbermatics.com/n/2221344/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harshad_number Hope you have lots of fun, and again, welcome. I predict with utmost surety that sometime soon GAS will hit and you will become the proud owner of "the next guitar"!

Thanks for the welcome - for the sake of curiosity, the name is actually the serial number for my Strat - I'm unimaginative when it comes to names, and it was closest to me at the time!
I'm also definitely getting the sense that acoustic guitars are a lot like electric guitars, paddle boards, and bikes where the 'ideal number' to own is always n + 1. Where n is the number you currently own... |

Well unless you wanna give us a name I think we’re gonna have to call you “Z” ,
which is a pretty good handle here in Britain where we pronounce it “ZED” . Not sure if “ZEE” works as well, isn’t Zee a girl’s name ? Anyhoo you’ve come to the right place to stoke the old GAS. I love it here, but it’s cost me a fortune. Get your wallet out and read on ! |

I’m suspicious of guys who try to hide behind a user name of letters and numbers.
