Default The Times They Are a Changin

Nothing out of the ordinary with this one but I really enjoy playing it and I think that it's one of those songs that should just be played straight up without anything to pull focus from the message. Hope you like it

Excellent work and well recorded. Your guitar playing is really good and your vocal delivery is even better. It’s a hard song to play and sing though you’ve done it justice. Please keep them coming. Hopefully you’ve got someplace local where you can perform in public because I think you’d get a great response.

Nice job, Simon! Well done!

Peter, Paul and Mary came out with their live album in 1964 when I was just 16 years old and was just starting to learn to play guitar. Their opening song on this album was "The Times They Are Changing." This is one of the earliest songs I learned to play. It's nice to be taken back in time a little.

Glad you guys liked it and thank you for the encouraging words Napman!

Glenn - This is one of the coolest things about forums like this and music in general I think. To hear the different stories people have about bands and songs from different times and how it brings people together that might not have much else in common. Thanks for taking the time to post

Sim Hey nice rendition. I love that song and it has long been in my gig sessions list

I agree about hearing the different stories. Like Glenn I learned to play guitar in 1964 at 14 .... But the first song I learned was House of the Rising Sun -the version the Animals got a #1 chart hit with that year .
I did not really get into Dylan until the Nashville Skyline Album which I bought and literally played till the grooves wore out .

Nice job, indeed. You really captured the Dylan spirit in your singing, and that’s a good thing on this song.
