Default PSA Carvin

I just ordered a GT12-8 guitar speaker from them at a spectacular price...less than $40.00 with free shipping. These appear to be actually manufactured by Celestion; Carvin claims that they closely resemble the Celestion Vintage 30, tone-wise, and they do have the identical frame, doping and voice coil size, 97.5 dB sensitivity, etc., the main difference being that these are 100-watt instead of 60-watt like the V30.

I haven't actually played through it as yet, but based on my prior experience with Carvin's gear, I don't doubt their claims. I'm really disappointed that they're going out of business...been using their gear for 30 years or more...but as long as they have these great blow-out deals, I couldn't pass this up.

I plan to mount this in my 1x12 Avatar Vintage cab, which currently has a V30 in it.

Here's the specs for the speaker. Looks like it's $39.

I think those were the stock speakers in my Carvin cabinet, they were cheap Chinese speakers that I did not care for.

Probably the same speakers used in most if not all of the Brit-voiced Chinese amps for the last ten years or so - got a feeling there's only a couple companies over there making them - and I didn't care much for the one in my first-run Bugera V22 either...

If the speakers linked are the ones meant by the OP, they're being offered at a whopping $10 off list. Am I missing something?
