That's *exactly* what I've been doing. Sooooo easy to tweak parts, create new drum regions, etc.

I am another who started off in Garageband on the Mac, then moved up to Logic. I originally purchased Logic 9 for a HUGE amount of $$$. Hated it. The interface was just really hard to use and I couldn't anywhere near a productive workflow that I did with Garageband, so I went back. When Logic X came out, I bought it and it was SO much easier to transition up to that - it was just so much more intuitive than 9 and I quickly got comfortable with it. I recorded this after only about 30 minutes of playing with Logic X. Simple guitar into my Mac (internal pickup and microphone at 12th fret via Apogee Duet interface).

Curious to know what you all are using for hardware. I'm considering moving to a Mac andLogic Pro X for my home studio (hobbyist/semi-pro level). Really I'd just be fleshing out song ideas and demos, nothing for pro production, probably never more than 24 tracks and probably using only Logics instruments and Drummer. Anyone using a Mac Mini?

I pretty much do everything on a fairly old (3 years?) iMac... I sometimes start things on my Macbook Pro and then finish them over there. I haven't had a stutter out of either...
