Default Live mixer question

Hi guys, just looking for a little direction here. I just bought a Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer. I would like to record direct to my Olympus LS-10 which I pretty much figured out. My question is this. Can I use this device to play live with to use the EQ to clean up my vocals and miked guitar? And if so, how would you get the signal out to the amp/pa to hear? I have looked at a few videos on youtube but really cant find anything to answer my question. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. I thought it might but the left/right had me confused, ( not what is left or right guys!!), but would it only send half signal, ( mono) out and be missing part of the sound? I'm really new to this and dont know anyone who works with these. I'm sure once I have it sorted out I would be like, duh, that was simple.
