John Pearse Pure Nickel Wound Acoustic Guitar Strings
Has anyone tried them on their Carbon guitars?

Not too good at copying/pasting links from my mobile device yet but there is a great thread about 19 back from this one. You can read up on some experiences there. There's also some some soundcloud examples a/b'ing these strings on an APLE RainSong. Hope that helps!

I think, of the available nickel strings,
Pearse holds their tone..unlike their bronze strings That seem to go dead quickly. Rick, And I agree on the NASB

I'm still liking the Martin Retro Monel strings on my Rainsong jumbo...Would they be similar to the JP pure nickel's?

They are the strings I am using on my L13 and I really like them. I also like the idea of their longevity, which is another reason I use them. I use the 13s as I think they bring out the most tone for my L13.
I'm not into bright guitars or sounds. |
