bandmates introduced to recording system
On Saturday evening I transferred my recording system over to my wife’s laptop and went over to Travis’ place to record the bass and lead guitar parts for Money and Listen To Me Now. Richard and Travis didn’t know what to expect, but the process and preliminary mix pretty much blew them away. They’re now taking this much more seriously and they believe that we can do this all ourselves.
Both of them laid down 4 or 5 attempts for each tune, and because we have all the time in the world it really lit a fire under them to not just record “an OK take”. They went away thinking that the next time we meet we’re going to re-record the same items. That’s fine with me. We’ll make progress. Patience!

Did you record with a click-track or drum backing track? Or just freestyle.
Just curious thanks.

I created a drum track using EZ Drummer 2. Then laid down the rhythm guitar in my own bedroom studio. And finally the other night I took my rig over to a bandmate's place and we recorded the bass, resonator and lead acoustic guitar tracks.

It only takes one person with the minimum tech knowledge and equipment! (And a few people with musical talent!)
