Song titles duplicate across the musical world.

It's not the childhood ditty I expect you are thinking of

About a year ago, I found out that a group of guys on my ball team had a common interest in music. Three guitars, a piano and a singer. We have been jamming monthly and developed a playlist of 20 songs (Blue Rodeo, Tragically Hip, Eagles, America, Beatles, CSNY among others). Each jam session is about 3 hours with a mix of music, shooting the bull and numerous "tall boys". We are having a ball and a lot of laughter.
As a group our crowning achievement was a gig at the annual "Ball Team BBQ".
Equipment was rented and we put on a show. We were hopeful that we wouldn't sound too bad, but our audience loved it. We received lots of applause and comments to do this again next year.
Bottom line is, when you are offered the opportunity to jam with others, grab it. Aside from the fun factor, your skills improve dramatically, especially hearing the music around you as you play your guitar to fit in.
