For Sale: TRADED: 2000 Collings C-10 Deluxe

TRADED: 2000 Collings C-10 Deluxe, Sitka top, EIR back and sides, haircut headstock. Frets in great shape. A real cannon. Articulate and loud. Held its own side by side with a newer D-1a! Some finish issues. I was told by the seller (a dealer at a guitar show) that it was "case rash." According to a reputable luthier in Charlotte (and Collings repair department), it was the result of something acidic in the case. Two spots on the guitar. See the pictures. Was given an estimate of $350 to refinish the spots.

I think this guitar would sell for $2900 without the issues. Will do $2400 plus shipping.

Good luck with the sale. I've always been partial to the C-10s... mine was Mahogany. I think it occupies a unique place in the Collings line-up... nothing else resembles it. I thought of it as a 00 with an attitude and a big voice, larger than its size suggests. Hope this one finds an appreciative home.
