Gordon Lightfoot
Norman Blake (I enjoy not only his playing but his vocals too)
Alan Doyle (from Great Big Sea)
If Stan Rogers was still alive I'd include him.

Kathy Wingert, Michael Dunn, Wayne Henderson, Steve Hicks, and Mark Thibeault, who not only are great players, but being luthiers, could probably also build a decent boat...
